Jonathan Quick Is Beasting The Stanley Cup Playoffs
Jon Quick is in full beast mode. He is leading the 8th seed Kings through the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Leading may not be the correct word. A word like juggernaut – as cliche as it sounds — comes to mind.
Quick showed glimpses of this last season. However, that wasn’t the first time I saw Quick’s potential.
Hockey East is the best collegiate hockey league. In fact, there are six Hockey East alumni in the Stanley Cup Finals alone. Clearly Quick has emerged as the one with the biggest impact on the series. Heck, Quick has changed the landscape of the league in 2012.
ESPN 30 For 30 Documentaries: Kings Ransom

Last night Kings Ransom kicked off the ESPN 30 for 30 documentary series. The doc focuses around the 1988 Gretzkey trade. Wayne Gretzky was traded along with Marty McSorley and Mike Krushelnyski from the Edmonton Oilers to the Los Angeles Kings for $15 million in cash and LA’s 1st round picks in 1989, 1991, and 1993. In other words the Oilers were dumping salary. The reason; the owner needed money for other business venture. In the end, the LA Kings made out with… well you understand. (more…)
