In San Fran They Only Riot With The Finest Mobile Hardware

The 2012 World Series has come and gone. Most people on the east coast didn’t notice. I didn’t, really. However, the memories will live on in the thousands of iPads/iPhones present for the games (and riots) in San Francisco.

It should be to no ones surprise that these Giants fans sport the newest tech gadgets. That cliche is a given. At least no executives lost unreleased hardware during the riots. That’s becoming cliche, too.

If it were my decision, I would have billed this year’s fall classic as the “Haves Versus the Have Nots.”

As of the 2000 census, San Fran had a per capita income of $34,556. Detroit’s was less than half — coming in at $14,717. It’s unlikely that gap has closed over the past dozen years.

I’m not sure what items we would have seen at a Detroit Tigers victory riot. Actually, if a riot happens in Detroit, does anyone notice?

As with any good narrative, there must be the good guys and the bad guys. Congrats San Francisco. You couldn’t just let Detroit have this one? Maybe just a single game?
