Monday Morning Hangover!

Every Monday of the NFL season we post a picture or video that sums up why we love NFL Sundays. It’s the Monday Morning Hangover! View previous week’s hangovers here.

This NBC promo photo is the reason the Patriots lost the Super Bowl. Is this SNL or the Super Bowl, guys?

NBC’s hatchet job started with these ridiculous photos, and continued throughout the evening with a heavy Giants bias. But, that’s to be expected. I just hope that the masses see how terrible Al Michaels and Chris Collinsoworth are. Good lord they are painful to listen to. Accuracy isn’t exactly one of the teams best traits. I guess that’s unimportant in their field.

Am I just salty because I wanted to see the Patriots solidify themselves as the team of the century? Maybe.

I’m not a footy pajama guy though. I mean I even put money on the Giants last Monday. Then I doubled dipped. That’s right, I put more money on New York on Friday. It was a good moral hedge.

Shit, the Super Bowl is fun though. Isn’t it?

I think I like it better when “my team” is watching at home too. This was too much. I felt way too much anxiety as the conclusion drew near.

I’d rather throw money on prop bets than have to sit on the edge of my seat watching my team squander another opportunity to be world champions.

So I did that, too. Prop bets galore.

I also put the biggest bet of the night on the 1st half under of 27. Easy money. It made the rest of the night a free roll.

I took Danny Woodhead’s carries OVER. The number was 5.5 and he got to 7.

I took Brady’s attempts OVER. The number was 39.5. With the shitstorm that ended the game, he went over.

I took the prop that neither team would score three unanswered times. To start the second half, the Patriots killed this one with a beauty of a drive. Turns out it would be their last good drive and last points of the game. The Giants would answer with three scores of their own. I didn’t come close on this one.

I wish I had some tutelage from this guy.

If you think that last one was a bad bet — get a load of this one. I also took Robert Kraft’s UNDER on how many times he’d be shown. It was at 3.5. This was an awful bet on my part. Just before halftime NBC showed Kraft for the 2nd time. I knew I was toast. I believe the official count got to 5 or 6.

On that note — Kraft is the main reason I might be a bit bummed due to last night’s result. He went through a lot this year. I am a huge fan and supporter of Mr. Kraft.  He has invited my family into his house with open arms. I hoped that after this difficult year, last night would be a celebration. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case.
