AFC Division Over/Unders: 3/4 Of The Year Check-In

I am curious to see how my team win over/unders have panned out this season. I am starting with the AFC divisions. Overall, most teams over/unders have not been decided yet. At this time I have lost 5 and locked up 2 wins.

Here in the AFC East:

The way some people talk, the Bills might be the greatest 2-10 team of all time. Regardless, Buffalo doesn’t have the easiest stretch remaining. You should be able to lock up that under.

I had Miami playing more of the role that the Jets are playing this year. It looks like the 8.5 number is going to be spot on for them. As for the Jets; unless the Patriots really did take there hearts out on Monday, they should manage to break the over easily.

I’ve all but lost three of these teams already. First, the Steelers. I thought the Steelers would regress this season. Although they haven’t looked dominant very often, they are still winning.

Holy shit, what was I thinking withe Bengals? I wrote this in August;

…we have the arrival the T.O. in Cincy. The dynamic duo of Batman and Robin doesn’t have a thing, in the entertainment category, on Owens and Ocho.

That might have been true. TV shows, fun tweets and even some production on the field. However, the team is abysmal.

The Colts can only reach 10 wins this season. The last time Manning had ONLY 10 wins? 2002. How about Jacksonville.  I truly thought the Jags might end up the worst team in the AFC. Not even close. All season I have been waiting for them to completely fade. It hasn’t happened yet.

There is a fantastic chance I lose both the Titans and Texans picks as well. I may have misfired on the entire AFC South.

This one I will split 2 and 2. I thought both the Raiders or Chiefs would have much improved seasons. I wrote about the Chiefs;

I never thought I’d say this, but this might have been my hardest pick yet. I really want to go over. I think the Chiefs will come really close but likely fall short at the 6 win mark or so.

However, I saw the Raiders being the division leaders at this point and the Chiefs chasing. When is the last time football was relevant in KC? The last Chiefs home playoff game was in 2003. It ended in a loss to the Colts.

I don’t even want to speculate on how many I will actually get wrong in the AFC. At this point, I will probably be lucky to hit .500.
