LeBron Enjoys A Weekend In Vegas At Tao

James was in Las Vegas this past weekend doing whatever it is basketball players do in Las Vegas. I actually imagine it to be similar to what we do in Las Vegas but just on a bit of a higher level.

LeBron made his way to Lavo at the Palazzo on Friday before making his way over to Tao at the Venetian on Saturday. .

That is one difference from the time the OWS crew was in Las Vegas last. We couldn’t get into Tao.

The whole Tao operation was a big thumbs down for us.

It was the first night of Vegas 2.0 in September. We figured we’d start the trip off right with what is one of the better clubs on the strip. We roll up at the Venetian to find a massive line at Tao.

Luckily we spoke with a host outside the doors about getting a table or something dumb but certainly expensive. We weren’t trying to wait in that line.

The VIP host talked with us for a few moments. Then he started to check us out to see if we where dressed up to par. There is a solid handful of us at this point — a good 5 or 6 people. We don’t think there will be any problem, but the host gets to one of us and doesn’t like what he sees…

It was something like the shirt above. Things tend to get exaggerated 6 months later, but I have to make the point stand out. I do know it had wings. I think it might have been glowing in the dark. I kinda blacked out when I first looked at it, so the memory is a bit faded. Regardless, I’m not sure how this got passed us to this point in the night.

Needless to say the guy was not having any of this shirt. We literally were turned away because of it.

So there is one major difference — when you are an NBA player apparently you can wear what you want. On the other hand this dude…

…he isn’t going to get in even though I think he has the same tee on as LeBron. We clearly found this out the hard way.

We did have some things in common with LeBron while in Vegas. We definitely put the Roc-a-fella / Jay-z symbol up a bit too much.

Seriously, I think James is doing it in half the photos I  saw. Personally, I like this “raise the roof” move…

…that’s the look right there.
