Welcome To The Weekend!

Jamarcus-Russell-SkittlesThis was the week to really fuck shit up if you think about it. That is if you didn’t want to public or the media to notice. There were a number of big stories that the Tiger Woods saga helped to cloak.

Jamarcus Russell may or may not have had Skittles in my pants on the sidelines last weekend.

Charlie Weis was let go by Notre Dame with a reported $18 million left on his deal. To be more clear; by “let go” I mean the school payed Mr. Weis millions just to go away.

Michigan State suspended eight players after they stormed a fraternity pot luck dinner on campus. Witnesses reported that some of the football team assaulted and injured a number of the pot luck’s attendees. Happy Thanksgiving Spartans.

Grady Sizemore had his email hacked and subsequently had a dozen or so… provocative… pictures of himself leaked to the internet. I understand that dude is in good shape and has nothing to be embarrassed about in that regard, but I will never understand why he needs to send these pics to a women to get some. One would think he would be above this. Isn’t that why you play baseball–to be the one getting the pictures sent to you?

Florida State icon Bobby Bowden is set to retire after 34 season in Tallahassee.

I guess not everyone agrees with me that reinstating Blount was the correct move:

How could Chip Kelly take away the flavor and excitement of such a great game, by playing a THUG like LaGarrette Blount ? In my opinion it was a bad move by Oregon and Chip Kelly to reinstate someone that is such a poor sport let alone play him in a great contest as the CIVIL WAR !! Shame on you Chip and shame on Oregon.

No what to watch again–this time because there is just too much. College football, college hoops and UFC on Spike TV; and that’s just Saturday.
