An all encompassing yet simple look at the Tiger Woods Thanksgiving night incident. This is what we have thus far.
On November 25th, the National Enquirer reported that Tiger Woods might be guilty of an affair. The women in question is Rachel Uchitel. Uchitel has quite the past. She told reporters that last year that she’d been romantically linked to a famous baseball player, a Broadway star and a musician. Later a source told the Daily News Uchitel was spotted rubbing shoulders with Woods at the Griffin Club, interestingly enough in the “Meatpacking District”, in June. The source did also say that Uchitel was only “acting as a hostess, showing him to a private booth near the DJ booth.”
Next came the news of the one-car accident involving Tiger. In the reports
police have said Tiger’s wife used a golf club to smash a window of Woods’ Cadillac Escalade to free her husband after he rammed a fire hydrant and then a tree shortly after pulling out of their driveway. Then TMZ reported that that Woods was actually running away from his Swedish supermodel wife after a fight over these allegations of an affair with Uchitel (pictured as the brunette on the right).
I said when the news originally broke that is was very difficult to tell exactly what was going on here. It was evident that something a bit fishy might be taking place.
Most of the “mainstream” media are either nor reporting TMZ’s account of the events or are still very skeptical of it. Still, what seems more plausible?
TMZ’s report also goes on to include an alleged conversation Tiger had with a friend on Friday. In the conversation Tiger told his friend, “I have to run to Zales to get a ‘Kobe Special.’” He would obviously be referring to the multi-million dollar ring that Kobe bought his wife after being caught cheating.
Tiger also went on to say that his wife had “gone ghetto” the night of the accident. TMZ reports that “ghettoness” included taking a hybrid gold club and smashing the side window of the Escalade while Tiger was inside.
This story is not going away. Woods is not only one of the most famous athletes on the planet, but one of the most famous people period. He is the single most popular and adored athlete in the world today. And he is the richest athlete in the history of professional sports.
Much more on this one. You can count on that.
