The South Bend Tribune is now reporting that a university source said that Clausen left C.J.’s Pub when his date realized she had forgotten her purse inside. The two went back into get it around 2 a.m. While walking out of the bar for the second time, Clausen’s date was pushed by a man, whom Clausen then pushed with his hands landing on the man’s neck. The man then punched Clausen in the face.
That is all that is known thus far. Clausen and other Notre Dame players are scheduled to speak with the media on Wednesday. Hopefully we will get a nice picture of the shiner at that time.
