As we move into week 10 we begin with the Thursday games that are aired on NFL Network, which those of us blessed with Time-Warner Cable cannot watch, since Time-Warner refuses to strike a deal with the NFL. Anyway, I apologize I didn’t get this post up midnight before the first games, won’t happen again.
Alright so here we go, recap and this weeks pick:
Week 1: Seattle Seahawks over the Saint Louis Rams. Seattle 28, Saint Louis 0.
Week 2: Washington Redskins over the Saint Louis Rams. Washington 9, Saint Louis 7.
Week 3: Philadelphia Eagles over the Kansas City Chiefs. Philadelphia 34, Kansas City 14.
Week 4: Chicago Bears over the Detroit Lions. Chicago 48, Detroit 24.
Week 5: Dallas Cowboys over the Kansas City Chiefs. Dallas 26, Kansas City 20.
Week 6: Pittsburgh Steelers over the Cleveland Browns. Pittsburgh 27, Cleveland 14.
Week 7: San Diego Chargers over the Kansas City Chiefs. San Diego 37, Kansas City 7.
Week 8: Houston Texans over the Buffalo Bills. Houston 31, Buffalo 10.
Week 9: Atlanta Falcons over the Washington Redskins. Atlanta 31, Washington 17.
Week 10: Denver Broncos over the Washington Redskins. (Score TBD)
So I realize I am picking the Skins for back to back losses, but c’mon, they are spiraling out of control. Also, Denver has not been looking too hot lately, and although they have an easy schedule for the rest of the season, I wanna take them before they lose it completely.
So for betting this week, I am taking Denver (-3.5) over Washington, and Oakland (-2) over Kansas City. I am also liking the moneyline for Chicago over San Fran, but it is in San Francisco, so I don’t wanna put money on it.

I think Den bounces back this week, showing the form that took them to wins over NE, Dal, Cin and SD. My only concern is a combo of weariness from 2 big losses, they weren’t really close in either game + they could be guilty of overlooking Was and focusing on SD the following week. Add to that the well documented impact of West coast teams traveling east for what amounts to a 10 AM game (11, in that Den is mtn).
bol.
Being a Denver fan, my judgment is clouded, as in my heart I think they will win by 20, but in my head I think it will be by only 7-10. Either way though I think the spread in this game is a joke, and Denver, even though traveling will win.
I hadn’t even thought of the fact that they may have overlooked Washington and already moved on to the Chargers, which could prove for a scary start, but even if that is the case, I think McDaniels will right the ship before it gets out of control.
