1:00 – Baltimore @ Cincinnati +3
This is an interesting one. This game opened at -1.5. Yep, a 4.5 point swing by late Monday and sitting strong at +3 into Tuesday. I still like Baltimore even giving the 3 here. For me this is one of those games where the true “winners” will rise to the surface–the Bengals are still the Bengals until they string together a number of solid victories.
1:00 – Miami @ New England -11
This line is too big. I know, I know–Miami in cold weather. This isn’t the usualy Miami team and they one thing they potentially do have going for them on offense is the run game. That can translate in the cold weather.
This is a huge game in the AFC East. The ‘Phins are already 3-0 in the division. Beyond that, they have a really easy schedule going forward. They could be a spoiler if they can get anything from the passing game.
4:05 – Carolina @ New Orleans -13.5
The Saints keep playing these close shootouts. I said yesterday that they are the shakiest “best team” in football since the Romo led Cowboys of recent years. I might be a gluten here but they are due for a big performance. It would seem that the Panthers are the perfect target.
4:15 – San Diego @ NY Giants -4.5
I have been on the Giants for the last few weeks, expecting them to make a triumphant return to relevance in the NFC East. Still waiting. I love the Chargers GETTING more than a field goal here, but I have loved the Giants the last two weeks and that has not gone well.
8:20 – Dallas @ Philadelphia -3
Here is a good game between apparently the only two good teams in the NFC East. The Eagles have started off 2-0 in the division while the Cowboys early loss to the Giants has them at 0-1. The Eagles can really put themselves in a good spot here with a win. This is just a team that frightens me–I just can’t be sure what is going to happen. The Redskins made McNabb look pretty bad and then McNabb stombs teh Giants. Hard to know what to make of the NFC East at this point.
Monday
8:30 – Pittsburgh @ Denver +3
Good match-up on Monday with the Steelers going to Denever. Denever has a couple nice wins but overall they have had an easy schedule and in their division, overall, it will remain that way. Baltimore put a stop the all the Bronco talk this past weekend. They are by no means done here but this is a rough stretch with Baltimore and Pittsburgh. If Denver can somehow find a way to win this game then they might not loss more than 2 or 3 games this year.
