It’s going on 5 seasons since Moss played in Minnesota. Apparently Mayor Rybak still has a bad taste in his mouth. The mayor was on CNBC before the big Monday Night Favreball game. Here is the quote from Rybak:
“I think there are some times when a fit just doesn’t work with the team anymore. Like Randy Moss may be the greatest receiver anywhere around, but I don’t want that guy to ever come back into the city of Minneapolis again. He was a jerk when he was here…”
I can’t find any great dirty on the mayor. However, I have become aware that on October 1, 2009 he announced he is running for governor.
Seems like this whole thing could be a stunt to get his name in the news. Whether it is or not; you can’t blame Rybak, I’d be pissed if my hometown team essentially traded Randy Moss for Troy Williamson.
At the time of the trade from Minnesota Moss’ agent said, “He doesn’t leave Minnesota with any grudges. It just was frustrating for him to lose.”
