Edwards allegedly punched a club promoter in Cleveland last night. Here is what the man had to say about the incident:
“After the club closed, I was outside greeting and saying goodbye to people. Braylon comes up and started saying things, degrading me. He said if it wasn’t for LeBron or the Four Horsemen, I wouldn’t have what I have, nor would I be able to get girls. Everyone knows Braylon has a problem with LeBron. So I had to speak up for myself. The conversation started to escalate. As some of his teammates started to pull him back, he punched me. I have a black eye and a cut. I’m not a violent guy. As long as I’ve known Braylon, I’ve allowed him and his friends to come into our events free of charge. Whatever jealousy he has with LeBron, he felt he needed to take it out on me.”
First, for those who don’t know the “Four Horsemen” is what LeBron and three of his buddies from high school call themselves. I imagine it is an old WCW reference, I mean what else could it be.
If Braylon wants to be away from the shadow of LeBron he seems to have figured out a way to make that happen; Braylon has 10 receptions for 139 yards and 0 touchdowns. Edwards is a free agent after this season.
It’s funny because I was thinking last night about how big a “going out” night Sunday’s must be for NFL players. Ya know… have a few drinks. Celebrate your catch-less week 4 game; not to mention your teams overtime loss to the Bengals.
Never a good sign when I just had to check a few box scores to make sure that the first one wasn’t a mistake. Zero catches. No wonder dude is frustrated.
