I’ve still been under the weather all week and have struggled to get content on the site. Luckily things haven’t gone too poorly. Some people might say, ‘how much worse could things really get anyway.’ That being said, I don’t have much for ya here either. So, instead of the usual how about we just take a gander at these pictures of Michelle Beadle.
Beadle is the lovely host of SportsNation along with Colin Cowherd of ESPN Radio fame. Prior to landing this gig with the Leader she worked at YES Network in New York. Beadle is from Texas and has claimed to be a big Longhorns fan on SportsNation. Yeah, I’m going to put Michelle on blast right here. However, Beadle is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio. Although San Antonio is in the University of Texas, it ain’t Austin. In fact, San Antonio’s nickname is the Roadrunners. Hook… ‘em… ‘runners…?
OWS ha passed 200,000 unique this week by the time this makes it up onto the website. I want to thank everyone involved.
Lastly in more fun site news, I quickly want to announce OWS Las Vegas 2.0. Some of us will be in Vegas again next weekend. For those in the know; Blogs with Balls 2.0 is October 15 & 16 at the Las Vegas Convention Center and is part of Blog World & New Media Expo 2009. Think of this as the pre-party, because Kissing Suzy Kolber and FreeDarko don’t party as hard as OWS.

"Beadle is from Texas and has claimed to be a big Longhorns fan…However, Beadle is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio. Although San Antonio is in the University of Texas, it ain’t Austin."
It's exclusionary, elitist nonsense to "put Michelle on blast" for being a Longhorns fan simply because she graduated from UT San Antonio. Are you also going to "blast" the high school Longhorn fans and adult Longhorn fans who never went to any University?
Michelle sat next to me in Algebra, and when I was thinking about transferring to Austin, she mentioned she was at UT Austin for a few years before transferring to San Antonio. No offense, but it's lame to "blast" her for being a Longhorn fan simply because she graduated from San Antonio, (which is under the UT system) especially when she attended UT Austin for years.
Just getting accepted to UT Austin is an accomplishment and certainly entitles Michelle to be a Longhorns fan. Though, I don't think anyone needs to be entitled to be a fan; if a 10-year-old illiterate Norwegian says he's a big Longhorns fan, I say more power to him.
