The ‘F/’ in the title is shot for ‘featuring’… what did you think it meant?
It’s an exciting weekend, and one that makes you wish you were at or at least near some quality college football. If that is the situation you are in; relish it.
Everyone gets a little giddy even a pro like AE.
This photo emerged on Thursday of Erin Andrews at her taping on the Oprah show. Not too sure what is going on but it’s safe to say my tivo will be recording Oprah for the first time next Friday. I swear it’s the first time.
I took a step into the “next gen” and bought a Playstation 3 this week. Is that a next gen system now?

Fittingly the first game purchase I made was NCAA Football 2010. Even more fittingly that is what is on tap for the weekend.
Saturday
12:00 – Minnesota (-7) at Syracuse [ESPN2]
Greg Paulus makes his debut at QB for the Orange against a Big Ten team. That could get ugly. To start the week the Orange are 7 point dogs at home.
3:30 – No. 13 Georgia (+4.5) at No. 9 Oklahoma State [ABC]
This is the gem of the day games. Many experts are on the OSU covered wagon. This is their chance to come out and make a big time statement.
8:00 – No. 7 Virginia Tech (+6.5) @ No. 5 Alabama vs. [ABC]
Here is the big late game of opening weekend. Two top 10 teams
Monday
4:00 – Cincinnati (+5) @ Rutgers [ESPN]
Rutgers loves playing at the most bizarre times. Now we can add most bizarre days; Labor Day Monday.
8:00 – Miami (+6.5) @ Florida State [ESPN]
A battle of two of the teams I loved growing up. How can I like both Miami and FSU? I was like 8, leave me alone.

Jagodzinski fired by Bucs
Jeff Jagodzinski was let go by Tampa Bay this week. This comes just months after being fired by Boston College because Jagodzinski wanted the Jets jobs; which he didn’t get. “We needed more direction. We needed more precision. [We weren't] getting it at the time, so you make the change,” Bucs coach Raheem Morris said.
How ineffective must you be if fired 3 fake games into your tenure?
We might find Coach Jags in a ditch somewhere or at least hammered on some pirate ship.
I can almost bring myself to feel bad for this guy. Maybe because he tried to screw BC. I like that.

Pac-man Not Heading North
Yesterday it was announced that Adam ‘Pac-man’ would not be migrating north for the CFL season. I can’t imagine that the UFL would not want this guy. They need as many “draws” as they can get. They have some legitimate names but a household name such as the Pac-man couldn’t hurt.
For one, I would like to see Adam go back into the wrestling ring. That was great. Actually, he should go legit. He should train to become a mixed martial artist. A ton of ex-NFL players are doing it and doing so successfully.

Artie Lang on the Bill Simmons Podcast
Artie has reemerged in the sports media world after the public lashing he gave to Joe Buck. He was on The BS Report this week.
Topics include seat pricing at the New Yankee Stadium and around the sports world, Baywatch, foul balls, Roots, Jeter, Letterman and of course the Joe Buck incident.

Take a pointer from Artie; here’s to the weekend! A long weekend dontcha know!
