Phelps finished the 100-meter butterfly in world record time at the US Nationals last night. His time was 50.22 which broke the old record of 50.4.
Good stuff.
More important is Phelps Subway commercial. I saw it the other morning before leaving the house. I wasn’t going to shave but upon seeing the scene pictured above, I quickly reconsidered.
Sure, we have all had those days when you just say F-it and go to work or out wherever with a somewhat haggard beard. The thing is, I don’t know about you but I’m not doing 30 second TV spots on those days.
Who the hell let Phelps on the set with that glorified five o’clock shadow of a goatee?
I will be happy to official throw my hat in the ring for the role of Mr. Phelps manager, PR rep., or whoever let this one slip by because they sure as hell aren’t regulating anything.
