Some interesting new details have been surfacing regarding the tragedy that took place over the weekend. It is slowly coming to light that Steve McNair’s wife Mechelle Cartwright was totally unaware of the relationship between McNair and Sahel Kazemi.
McNair was found in an apartment that he and a buddy shared ownership of. Why does a married man with multiple children and a house have an apartment?
Well, it looks like McNair and Kazemi had been dating for six months after meeting at Kazemi’s work, a Dave and Busters. McNair gave Kazemi a Cadillac Escalade for her 20th birthday in May and that they had reportedly traveled to Key West, Las Vegas, California, Hawaii and McNair’s farm in Mississippi. The 2007 Escalade was registered to both McNair and Kazemi.
I think this story is only going to get more tragic before all is said and done.
There is almost no doubt in my mind that this relationship between McNair and Kazemi is what did the both of them in. Whether it was Kazemi who pulled the trigger or a crazed ex-boyfriend we do not know yet, but the result is the same.
One of Kazemi’s relatives is on record saying that Kazemi wanted nothing more than to be famous. There is certainly a difference between famous and infamous but it seems that Sahel is on her way in some manner.
I feel for the young woman’s family, but not as much as my heart goes out the Steve’s wife & children, they were put into a situation that they had no control over, I don’t think anyone should ever lose their life over an “affair”, but when will start to teach our daughter & sons, that marriage is not a game that we play until we get tired of our spouse, and teach our children that someone husband or wife is off limits…..
