According to the University of Illinois’ paper (which is where Davis went to school), Vontae was arrested a couple weeks ago for, get this, unnecessary vehicular noise and driving without a valid license.
Seems like nothing to me. BUT the funny part of this one is the fact that there were “character issues” with Vontae going into the draft. Character issues that the Miami Dolphins chose to ignore when selecting him in the first-round.
Less than 2 months ago the Dolphins newest corner had something to tell Miami’s fans, “Please tell the Dolphins fans how I really am,” Davis said to the Palm Beach Post. “I’m the total opposite of what they say.”
It will be interesting to hear the whole story because there has to be more to this.
Does this even count towards PFT’s Turdwatch? I don’t know if it should–not yet at least.
