Maybe it is just my eyes playing tricks on me or even call it wishful thinking but Bonds looks to have lost more weight. Weird. I might be delusional in these thoughts but I know for certain Barry is a bit delusional when it comes to the subject of retirement.
When one reporter raised the subject by mentioning, “We heard you haven’t retired yet,” Bonds replied, “I just haven’t retired, that’s the only status I have.”
So, Barry has not played for over a year now but he is still not ready to declare his “retirement”. I guess if he keeps this up he can never be denied first ballet hall of fame honors since he will never technically be eligible. Maybe that is his thinking, as this buys him more than the standard 5 years from retirement to HOF eligibility.

Having met Bonds a couple weekends ago at Disney’s Magic Kingdom, he has definitely lost weight.
